My name is Bill. I have been a Christian all my life but grew up in a Catholic Father/Episcopal mother home so……..needless to say it got dicey now and then.
Northern Ireland right there in my house.

How I grew Up

I was blessed with two great middle America parents who made it clear that Sunday was church day. As far as more in-depth Bible study, not much was going on growing up. My sister as she got older got closer to Jesus until she met him face to face a few years ago. I miss her.

The method

One book at a time, twice over

When I retired, I decided to build my Bible knowledge by dedicating 2026 and 2027 to reading The Bible. I wanted to REALLY get into it so I approached it this way.

Step 1

Read a book.

Step 2

Read it again, taking notes as I go.

Step 3

Read the notes.

Step 4

Flip to the front and read the notes from the beginning, before taking on a new book.

How Far Ive Come

In 6 months, I’ve made from Genesis to Kings, so it looks like it will take 2 years. About 90 minutes a day.

What I do Now

The rest of my day I am spending time with my wife Lanah, writing screenplays and driving my daughter around Los Angeles.
